Overview: An SEO contest is an activity awarding prizes that challenges search engine optimization (SEO) practitioners to rank themselves among the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN using certain keyword(s) (from: wikipedia). Most SEO contests expect people to optimize a single web page for a non-existent phrase of two "silly" words. The main reason for this is to keep existing web sites from getting a head start. Participants get to showcase their skills and discover and share new techniques for promoting websites.

Rules:
- We strongly discourage link spamming. We have efficient tools to monitor the same and will disqualify those resorting to the same.
- Website will not use SEO methods which are clearly not approved by Search Engine Guidelines. (Any participant ignoring the Google webmaster guidelines will not qualify for a prize).
- We encourage white-hat optimization techniques.
- URL should not made up entirely of the search keywords.
- Open for new domains purchased in 2008 only. Alternatively, you can host your website for free on pages.google.com.
- You must register for an account on Srishti 2008 website to submit your URL.
- Submit the URL, before building your website, by logging in your Srishti 2008 account.
- Your website must include a visible link to Srishti 2008
- Valid contact information must be found on the site, E-mail is preferred.

How the winners will be selected:
On March 1st, 2008 1900 hrs IST (GMT+0530) we will make a search for "cheeni climate" on Google.com and subsequently determine a winner. If 2 contestants would end up with the same Total points then the contestant with the highest rank in Google.com will take the higher position.
